Ops R.I.U.T. - Transforming Our People

185 students from 14 campuses turned up to respond to the call to be T.O.P agents in their society.
We challenged them to “Transform Our People” throughout the whole day. In the morning, we called them to M.A.D. (Mission At Doorstep) and C.O.N. (Change Our Neighborhood). After lunch, we called them to S.A.lah (Social Awareness Lah!) and J.A.M. (Jambatan Anak Malaysia).
Different activities challenged them to different issues that they could easily identify with in their personal daily lives. But now the focus is much broader, we want to challenge them to respond to the many issues surrounding their society as well as in the nation. Praise the Lord, at the end of the programme, they were challenged to become the agents of transformation in their society, campus, CF, community and nation. This event was also a reminder to them of their role as “Salt and Light” in this world!

Gala Undangan Nabi (GUN)

On 16th February 2011, 51 Christian student leaders from 14 campuses around Kuching came together to share their stories, struggles in their CF, and bring words of encouragement to each other. GUN was the first event organized by FES Sarawak to call all our leaders to be prophets in their campuses. It was also an avenue for those who joined National Conference 2010 to share their experiences and challenges after NC with those who couldn’t be there.
Here’s what some students at GUN had to say:

“I have never seen consumerism from a Christian perspective before.”
“I really want to have a CF in my college.”
“From now onwards I’ll try to build a real relationship with my Majority friend.”
“My heart is broken when I see my friends wasting their lives out there.”

Ops Gegar: Disiasat

Pada 6hb March pelajar-pelajar Sarawak digegarkan oleh OPS GEGAR yang membawa tema DISIASAT. Pelbagai reaksi diterima ketika mempromosi Ops Gegar di kampus. Ada yang tertarik, ada yang muskhil dan ada yang tertanya-tanya apa yang yang bakal menanti mereka di Ops Gegar. Ya, tema disiasat ini, sesungguhnya telah bahan bualan bagi banyak pelajar. Namun, semuanya terjawab pada hari Ops Gegar: Disiasat mengambil tempat. FES telah mengemukakan Panggilan Kita’’ untuk generasi ini (prophetic call) dengan harapan Kristian akan mempunyai kehidupan  sejati di depan Tuhan dan Kristian yang terlibat dengan persekitaran mereka. Oleh itu, tema Disiasat ini telah memberi peluang kepada pelajar untuk merenung dan menyelidiki hidup mereka supaya mereka boleh serahkan dan persembahkan apa yang terbaik bagi Tuhan kita. Masih diingatan bagaimana sesetengah pelajar ini telah memberi respon yang menyentuh hati dan komitmen untuk memberi yang terbaik bagi Tuhan. Doa saya adalah supaya mereka akan terus membenarkan Tuhan menyelidiki hidup mereka dan senantiasa persembahkan yang terbaik bagi Tuhan.
