"I felt the theme of prayer and thanksgiving coming up again and again - that thanksgiving is still the current theme in my life and that thanksgiving is not dependent on external circumstances but in knowing that Jesus Christ is OUR Lord and Father.
So yes, I am forced to learn, through these circumstances, how not to let my emotions overtake me, how to have joy and thanksgiving - learning to trust in the Supremacy of Christ. He is before all things and in Him all things hold together.
I liked the last part where Paul wrote "Remember my chains". It reminded me of the circumstance that Paul wrote this letter in - in prison, yet He was still so full of praise and thanksgiving for God. Surely his experience of God has been such a real one that he knows even in the dark God is still sovereign."
