Selah Girls (9 August)
Selah Guys (16 August)
8 girls and 4 guys pressed the "pause" button in their lives for one
day to listen to what God was saying in their lives.
The morning was a
silent reflection on the past half a year.
The girls scattered out
around a dam whilst the guys hiked up a hilly trail to reflect.
The
afternoon was a reflection on the Word of God,
specifically the 7 "I
Am" passages from John's Gospel.
We were all encouraged at how God
spoke through the events of our lives and His Word

Something Fishy + World Student Week Celebration
( 20 September 2008)
Venue: FES Northern Office
It’s Something Fishy ,
29 students had a day of learning to be storytellers; not the lying
kind, but to tell the Gospel in the form of a story in a way that
would be accessible to their friends. We also explored the needs and
cries of the campus world and society at large and how the CF could
play its role in bringing the hope of the Gospel to the world around us.
In this simple prayer gathering held after Something Fishy, besides
the students who stayed on, we were joined by another 2 grads and 4
other students to pray for the student movement in Japan and also the
CFs and graduates in the Southern region. It was a good reminder that
we belong to a larger movement that God is using to impact the world
at large.

Graduating Students Retreat
(1-3 Feb 2008 in CCC Penang)
Graduating Students? After looking at the past 3 years of Uni life, we need to start
thinking about the next chapter for our lives. The retreat saw 23 final year
students coming together for 3D/2N in Bt Ferringhi. We were challenged with
practical issues like handling money matters, dealing with family, acclimatizing
back home and completing unfinished business - Shelby

Something Fishy Training organised by students
(25 January 2008)
Spending a weekend with Chinese speaking students and challenged them to get involved in their communities and share their lives with their friends. Using comic, fishers and passages, many were inspired to learn more about others’ beliefs & lives. They ended the day with the challenge to “build lasting friendships” ringing in their ears.
